Fire Emblem Engage – Everything We Know

Fire Emblem Engage is the latest addition to the popular Fire Emblem series. This game is set in a world where 1000 years have passed since the sealing of the Fell Dragon on the continent of Elyos. The player takes on the role of Alear, the Divine Dragon, who is tasked with sealing the chaos dragon once again. Alear, who can be either male or female, has the ability to summon heroes from past Fire Emblem games using an Emblem Ring. This allows players to inherit weapons and skills, as well as merge their appearance with the heroes they summon.
Fire Emblem Engage features turn-based tactical combat, and players can upgrade and customize a wide array of original characters. The game brings back the Weapon Triangle mechanic, a rock-paper-scissors mechanic of weapon advantages, and is class-based. In combat, players will do battle on a grid, and the positioning of units is crucial. Non-combat segments take place at the player’s home base, Somniel, where they can interact with characters and manage their party.
So far, only two heroes have been revealed to make an appearance in Fire Emblem Engage, Marth and Celica, who both debuted in the announcement trailer. Marth has made cameo appearances in previous Fire Emblem games, and was a major story element in Fire Emblem Awakening.
Fire Emblem Engage will be released on January 20, 2023, and preorders for the game are now available. The standard physical and digital edition costs $60, while a special physical-only Divine Edition is available for $100, which includes a steelbook, art cards, art book, and poster.
In conclusion, Fire Emblem Engage promises to be an exciting addition to the Fire Emblem series, offering players the opportunity to interact with heroes from past games, engage in tactical combat, and customize their own characters.
