Nvidia has announced a new line of gaming laptops, powered by the RTX 40 series, which will be gradually released starting February 8th. There will be over 170 models available from major manufacturers, each equipped with various graphics cards from the RTX 40 range, including the 4080, 4070, 4060, 4050 and the 4090, which is a first for laptops. These laptops are significantly more energy-efficient compared to their predecessors, thanks to their incorporation of the lowest voltage GDDR6 memory to date and a tri-speed memory control mechanism, which enables the GPU to automatically switch to lower-power memory states.

The new laptops are also expected to provide four times faster performance, thanks to the integration of Ada Lovelace architecture, Nvidia DLSS 3 and fifth-generation Max-Q technology. Additionally, creatives can take advantage of the chips’ power to reduce export times, with the inclusion of dual AV1 encoders. Flagship models with 4080 and 4090 cards will be available starting at $1,999, while models with 4070, 4060 and 4050 cards, which are still faster than their previous generation’s counterparts, will be available starting February 22nd at $999. Nvidia also announced that the Nvidia 4070 Ti will be launched later this week.
