The highly anticipated shooter game, Six Days In Fallujah, which aims to depict the Second Battle of Fallujah, appears to have missed its announced release date of late 2022. Despite this, recent tweets from the publisher, Victura, suggest that development is ongoing but a concrete release date is yet to be determined.
“We understand how important it is to provide a release date, but we’re not ready to lock it in just yet,” Victura stated in a tweet.
The game, which was first announced in 2009, has been shrouded in controversy due to its depiction of real-world combat events. Former publisher, Konami, withdrew from the project in 2009 and it has been in development limbo for over a decade. Director Peter Tamte announced in 2021 that Highwire Games had been contracted to develop the game, reigniting the controversy. Despite this, there have been few updates on the game’s progress but it is confirmed to still be in the works.
