Similar to other live service games, Suicide Squad will have its own battle pass system that focuses on cosmetics and a currency for each hero that can be used to customize their individual skillsets. Players who are worried that Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, and King Shark will be at a disadvantage when the game starts, need not worry as an internal source told VGC that the game has a power-up curve similar to Batman: Arkham Knight.
“You don’t start off debuffed and weak,” VGC’s source said. “You just start off great and can get ridiculous, like Arkham Knight’s Batman.”
For reference, in Batman: Arkham Knight, the player starts off with all the usual tricks of Batman’s trade, and as the game progresses, they can unlock skills and gadgets that allow them to deliver an absurd amount of offense. From the usual ground-and-pound combat style, that version of Batman could eventually use his arsenal to knock out several enemies simultaneously, combo in finishers with the Batmobile, and sabotage heavily-armed mercenaries during stealth sections.
It has been known for a while that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is a live service game and features the black ops group fighting to save the world from a Justice League that has been brainwashed by Superman villain Brainiac. The game features the final performance of Kevin Conroy as Rocksteady’s Batman, after the legendary dark knight actor passed away in late 2022.
