Blizzard has revealed new features that will arrive in Hearthstone with the launch of Season 3. The new update is scheduled to release on January 17th, introducing new minion and dual minion types, new cosmetic options, and more.

The upcoming season, entitled The Battle for Silver Moon, will feature the Blood Elves defending themselves from the Lich King’s Scourge. Players who purchase the Season 3 pass will have access to new boards and emotes, as well as the ability to dress up their heroes with new cosmetics inspired by Silvermoon or the Scourge.

Players will also encounter new undead minion types that synergize well with reborn and deathrattle effects. Certain minions will also receive the undead tag, becoming dual-type minions. Additionally, players can visit Professor Putricide to craft custom undead minions for four gold each.

On January 17th, players can also participate in a lunar new year event, where completing the quest will earn them XP, exclusive rewards, and the ability to light the lanterns of Sunwell.

Hearthstone is a free-to-play game available on PC, as well as the Apple App Store and Google Play.
